Ok- so someone has probably done this (I didn't look, I don't want to so that way I have an excuse of why I did this)

I mean it's one of those topics that has to have been posted, but anyway: What would you dream of finding in a barn, and what would you do with it? It's ok, this is a safe place, you can talk about your dark desires of how you would find a Ferrari 250 GTO, and drop a Ford Ecoboost into it.

My dream find would be a Lamborghini Miura. Have it painted Blu Hera, and the side skirts Metallic black. The rims would have to be some nice shiny metallic black Hercules rims. The suspension would be dropped a couple of inches, and install new stiffer shocks. Also a Hybrid system, just to piss every purist off.

See? I would piss so many enthusiast/purists off. So have a crack at it, and tell me what you would love to find, and how you would abuse it.

Disclaimer: I would also drive this Miura all freaking day, and track day it.

A 4 speed 454 1970 Chevelle. Just because I really want one, have the stock wheels rebarreled and upgrade the brakes. I can't think of anything crazy I'd do to piss people off since I'm not really fussed what anyone thinks. Putting miles on a collector car is enough to make some cringe.

54 beetle, any Porsche air cooled flat 6 and trans but fit it formula V style(mid mount) no back seat. Body left in barn find condition, sleeper/derelict.

The pipes wrapped around and exited out the back. It might have been done in order to silence the exhaust because prior to it being locked away in a storage unit for 27 years it was used as a DD by famously insane record producer Phil Spector.

The pipes are now back to normal though.

I'm thinking early 50's Chevy, or a Hudson Hornet, or a 50' Mercury Custom. I'd LOVE to make one of those into a daily driver with more modern wheels/tires (maybe Daytons to keep the wires) and upgraded suspension and everything, along with an Ecoboost or any newer fuel-efficient engine, to keep the running costs as low as possible...

Sorry no pictures I can't find the right one. I wanted one with early 50's traffic so you can choose any car and be happy.

good choice, I'd prefer a 12C spider over an Audi.. but the R8's can be had for 1/4 the price so even with $1.2m to spend I'd probably end up in a blue on black V10 R8

I was thinking the V10 would hold its value better than the V8.. but I wouldn't commit to either before test driving both of them.
